Position Title: Operations/Manufacturing Manager
Reports to: General Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To lead the different areas of production within the plant covering Manufacturing, Tooling & Maintenance and Production Training to be able to meet the set operations target for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Cost
- To lead and ensure the continuous improvement process through the use of lean and six sigma tools
- Ensure employee and customer satisfaction through operation excellence
- Setting up of an effective organizational structure and lead adequate development, retention and training for staff, to ensure the related areas of Production are well equipped for current and future challenges.
- Evaluate prepare and monitor budget for headcount, controllable cost and investments for the related Production area
- Set up the objectives related to the are of Manufacturing, Tooling & Maintenance and Production Training in alignment with the plant objectives and supervise their accomplishment.
- Ensure Safety and quality standards are lived within the team
- Plan, lead and control the manufacturing process according to planning and budget, and take corrective action if necessary, in order to ensure customer demand fulfilment regarding quality, quantities, cost and delivery time.
- Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment. Regularly review the performance of the processes; Identify and implement needs and opportunities for process and equipment improvement, in order to optimize plant performance regarding capability, capacity and efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Competencies
- Knowledge in LEAN, 6 Six-Sigma,
- Knowledge in Quality and HSE management Systems (IATF 16949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001)
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources)
- High level of spoken and written English
- Excellent computer skills, presentation (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Emergency handling ability.
- Personality: Good communicator, Assertive, Drive, Fair, Patient, Responsible
- Must adopt a practical approach to work
- Must be methodical
- High level of problem-solving and analytical skills – able to analyse data and information from different areas of the business and come up with a summarized conclusion and argument.
- Time Management – able to prioritize tasks and allocate time appropriately.
- Presentation Skills – able to deliver public speeches to top management with confidence and clarity
- Teamwork skills – able to work in a team and in harmony with all team members but at the same time confident of their own skills and opinions.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply chain Management.
Experience
- Minimum 05 year experience in the same position or level
- Minimum of 02 years in the manufacturing environment
- Experience in using operation management tools and methodologies such as quality and HSE management systems (IATF 16949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001), lean manufacturing,
- Proven record of high level of compliance and quality mindset
